Our team is composed of retired commercial vehicle inspectors and Texas state troopers. We have more than 14 years of experience working in the Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Service, specializing in safety audits, compliance reviews, and commercial vehicle inspections. With our knowledge of the industry, we have the skills to keep your business safe and compliant.
About Brandon Halfmann
Brandon was born and raised in San Angelo, Texas. His parents were hard-working, honest people who put their family first. Brandon continues to live by their example, being a family man who doesn't shy away from a hard day's work.
Brandon Halfmann attended Angelo State University until 2006. After working for the Texas Historic Commission for a few years, he took a job with the Texas Department of Public Safety, in the Driver's License division. He quickly promoted to a CDL tester where he administered written, and driving tests, including pre-trip inspections. After two years with the Driver License Division a new opportunity arose when the previous Compliance Review Investigator, David McIntyre set out on his own to open McIntyre DOT Safety Consultants, and the position of Compliance Review Program Investigator became available. Brandon transferred to the position and spent the next year training heavily to acquire all the certifications required for the position.
Professional Experience
From 2012 to 2024 Brandon conducted Compliance Investigations, and Safety Audits across the state of Texas. This included both intrastate and interstate companies as well as both onsite and remote reviews. He also kept certifications yearly with Road-side inspections. During these inspections Brandon developed and understanding of maintenance needs for all levels of Commercial Motor Vehicles. As a senior investigator Brandon assisted in the training of multiple investigators during his 12 years with the TXDPS Motor Carrier Bureau. He has been and still remains a point of contact for Commercial Motor Vehicle enforcement officers.
In 2024, David McIntyre of McIntyre DOT Safety Consultants retired from the private commercial vehicle sector and sold his company to Brandon where he works to continue Commercial Motor Vehicle education.
